How are cartons waxed?

When using carton packaging, both manufacturers and shippers consider how to best meet waterproofing requirements. Choosing a carton with a wax coating offers a safer alternative to standard cartons. Waxing cartons can be achieved by laminating the cardboard with a thin polyethylene film, spraying the interior with a plastic coating, dipping it in wax, and finally laminating it to saturate the entire cardboard with the wax.

Another method involves applying wax through the corrugated layers and the outer sheet, which covers a large surface area of the corrugated cardboard, to enhance its waterproofing.

Yilida's cartons utilize a reinforced slot design in their self-locking mechanism, resulting in a breakage rate of less than 0.1%. While sufficient strength can minimize breakage, it's best to avoid exceeding the stated load capacity during use. Stacking heights of no more than five layers are recommended.
