When producing wax-impregnated waterproof cardboard boxes, Yilida employs a deep-penetration waxing process using microcrystalline wax. Molten wax penetrates deep into the cardboard, and after impregnation, the cardboard cools and solidifies, forming a uniform coating that provides waterproofing. This is a true molecular-level hydrophobic layer that not only blocks liquid water but also prevents water vapor from seeping back into the cardboard. After applying such a wax layer, the cardboard boxes can still maintain their flexibility and strength, and will not break easily or be unable to withstand heavy pressure like ordinary cardboard boxes.

Product Applications

Wax-impregnated waterproof cardboard boxes are mainly used in fresh food and cold chain transportation, for long-distance sea freight, you can also choose this type of box. During transportation, if the temperature is low, ordinary cardboard boxes will become brittle when placed at -15°C, and will no longer be able to provide effective loading and protection. However, our waxed cardboard boxes can still maintain their normal state after being frozen at -40°C. By this comparison you can see it has a significant advantage.

What are Paper Corner Protectors?

Paper corner protectors, also known as angle boards, edge boards, corner strips, or corner wraps, are made from multiple layers of high-strength kraft paper using a precision composite process. They are used to wrap the edges and corners of products, providing protection, reinforcement, and support. Compared to wooden or plastic corner protectors, they are lighter, recyclable, and more convenient to use.

What are Different Types of Paper Corner Protectors Suitable for Packaging?

Yilida can customize paper corner protector sizes to meet your packaging needs. As for shapes, the main types include L-shaped, U-shaped, round, solid, and flat, but V-shaped can also be customized.

L-shaped corner protectors can be placed on the edges of cardboard boxes or the corners of items needing reinforcement to prevent the boxes from being crushed or deformed, or the items from being damaged by impact.

U-shaped corner protectors can also protect corners; they can be directly clipped onto corners and are especially suitable for protecting doors, windows, glass panels, tiles, and furniture. They are very convenient to use and act as a cushioning barrier, making the items they protect safer during transportation.

Round, solid paper corner protectors, also known as wrap-around ones, are definitely a better choice if you're packaging and protecting cylindrical items compared to other types. Why Use Paper Slip Pallets?

The biggest advantage is that paper slip pallets improve the efficiency of handling and loading/unloading operations. Their small size and light weight save transport space and don't add much weight to goods. Moreover, despite their lightness, a single paper slip pallet can still bear a load of 1 ton or even 1.5 tons or more, with even higher static load-bearing capacity, making them a viable alternative to plastic and wooden pallets. Wooden pallets require fumigation, which is troublesome, and plastic is not as environmentally friendly as paper.

Furthermore, paper slip pallets are lighter than wooden pallets, reducing fuel consumption, which means lower transportation costs, and saving on the purchase, repair, and return costs of wooden pallets.

Use and Storage

Using paper slip pallets requires a forklift equipped with a push-pull mechanism. The size, thickness, and number of lips can be customized to meet different loading and unloading needs. Unused paper pallets should be stored in a dry, cool environment and kept flat to prevent them from bending or deforming. For long-term storage, it is recommended to avoid direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
